TENS Hire Terms & Conditions:

1. The TENS device remains the property of Born to Birth co at all times.
2. The consumer must have consulted their healthcare professional about the use of the TENS device and obtained approval.
3. The TENS unit must be used in accordance with the instructions provided.
4. Born to Birth co is not liable for any injury or damage resulting from improper use of the TENS device.
5. The TENS device is provided in optimal working condition, results are not guaranteed or implied.
6. The Hirer acknowledges they have read and understand the precautions associated with using the TENS machines. TENS Devices should not be used by individuals with epilepsy, those fitted with a cardiac pacemaker, or individuals diagnosed or suspected of having heart disease.
7. Refunds will not be issued if the Hirer chooses not to use the TENS device.
8. A bond will be required. This is to cover any loss or damages to hire equipment. By paying this bond you are agreeing to this. The bond will only be returned to the hirer upon return of the TENS device.
9. The Hirer agrees to return the TENS unit in the same condition as it was received. A cleaning/damage fee of $50 will apply if it is not returned in proper condition.
10. The Hirer must ensure the TENS device is free of bodily fluids when returned, or a cleaning fee of $50 will apply.
11. Born to Birth co reserves the right to charge the replacement cost of any lost, stolen, or damaged TENS unit or its components. This also applies if any parts are contaminated with bodily fluids. Born to Birth co reserves the right to deny the return of some or all of the paid bond if the TENS is damaged.
12. The standard hire period is 4 weeks (or 6 or 8 weeks) hire on your agreed duration. The TENS unit must be returned to Born to Birth co on or before the last day of the hire period unless an extension has been agreed upon. Failure to return the unit on time will incur additional fees.
13. All TENS devices are tested before dispatch to ensure they are in perfect working order.
14. Born to Birth co is released from any liability relating to the use of the TENS unit in the event of unexpected or undesirable outcomes.
15. For these terms and conditions, "TENS" defines the device and all included accessories.
16. The hirer must pay in full upon booking the TENS device.
    
17. If the hirer cancels their paid booking, a 20% deposit of the total amount will be obtained by Born to Birth co. The remaining 80% of the total amount will be refunded to the hirer.

BIRTH SLING Hire Terms & Conditions:

1. The BIRTH SLING remains the property of Born to Birth co at all times.
2. Using the BIRTH SLING as a birthing aid is done so at the risk of the user. We take no responsibility for birthing outcomes or injury that may occur. We advise that the BIRTH SLING should not be used as a swing and that the persons full weight should not leave the ground.​​
3. The Hirer acknowledges they have read and understand the precautions associated with using the BIRTH SLING.​ Contraindications for use of the BIRTH SLING; Ruptured membranes without engagement of the foetal head; Unstable blood pressure, balance and/or mentation; Any condition requiring bedrest. It is recommended that anyone using the BIRTH SLING must; Have a steady gait; Be able to call for assistance if needed; Be able to support themselves without assistance.​
4. BIRTH SLING must be returned to Born to Birth co without presence of body fluids, or a $50 cleaning fee will be charged. Recommended to be washed in low-temperature machine or hand wash using modern laundry detergents that are able to produce hygienically clean laundry without the presence of chlorine bleach. Using a laundry bag is recommended. The sling should then be air dried.
5. Birth slings that are grossly contaminated with blood or bodily fluids should be discarded and considered biohazard waste regardless of persons infectious status. Grossly contaminated: saturated, dripping, caked with blood or bodily fluid, has the potential to release blood or other potentially infectious materials if compressed, or can flake off during handling. In this instance, please contact Born to Birth co at [email protected] to notify of need to discard. Your bond will not be returned in this instance.
6. The BIRTH SLING is hygienically washed between each use and is inspected prior to dispatch.
7. Use of this product is at your own risk. Please consult with your care provider to determine if this product is right for you.
